Yesterday we drove up to Milwaukee from Pittsburgh. The actual drive itself was pretty uneventful. One thing I did notice was that there seems to be less rest stops over this way. There were several very long stretches where we wanted to stop and couldn’t.

So we get to Milwaukee and learn that the address my Garmin had found was for the wrong place. So we went to the Google Maps backup. Fortunately we were only off by a couple of minute drive. After driving for so long we were all eager to get out.

We find the hotel which is the gorgeous The Brewhouse Inn & Suites.

Our initial problem is to figure out do we valet or do we self park. We opted for valet as it was the better deal.

After a rapid check-in process we went up the elevator to checkout our awesome room.

After a quick refresh we headed downstairs to the bar to clear the dust from our throats. Unsurprisingly this was another awesome space.

After our drinks we headed back to the room to decide what to do for dinner. The first option was the Lakefront brewery. We’d had their stuff before (even a couple of minutes ago) and liked it. Plus our valet recommended it.

A quick drive there minus a few turn arounds to look at interesting things and we found it.

Their tap selection wasn’t the best by my opinion this time but we each had a drink and split a cheese plate. From there we opted to find dinner at County Clare Irish Pub.

The food was pretty decent and the drink prices were ok. After our meal we headed back to the hotel. While everyone else got ready for bed I decided to have one final drink at the bar that was really packed considering the day of the week. But I found some space at the bar and drank my beer before calling it a night.
